For Vallejo California’s 25 year old rising star David Pouncey Jr. (DboiRBR), there is no better feeling than writing and recording high quality substantial music for listeners around the world. DboiRBR grew up listening to a wide variety of Artists and Genres. Some of his biggest musical influences include; Sly and the Family Stone, Tupac, Jay-Z, Mac Dre, and E-40, just to name a few. DboiRBR has always been a leader/innovator amongst his peers and thrives on creating music that would catapult him into positions to reach out to youth and let them know the real risks and consequences of living the “Street Life”. During the name selection process, DBOI felt that the Acronyms of the name would best describe him as an artist: Dedicated, Blessed, Original, & Inspiring.

DboiRBR grew up listening to a wide variety of Artists and Genres. Some of his biggest musical influences include; Sly and the Family Stone, Tupac, Jay-Z, Mac Dre, and E-40, just to name a few. DboiRBR has always been a leader/innovator amongst his peers and thrives on creating music that would catapult him into positions to reach out to youth and let them know the real risks and consequences of living the “Street Life”. “I like to paint pictures with my lyrics” said DboiRBR, who fans would best describe as a metaphorically sound, party vibe type of artist. Growing up in Vallejo, Ca. DboiRBR was able to experience a very diverse community, which demonstrated a high rate of crime in recent years. Vallejo has also bred some of the better success stories, such as that of New York Yankees Ace pitcher C.C. Sabathia, who attended the same high school as DboiRBR and was able to beat the odds coming out of the same city. DboiRBR grew up heavily involved in Sports from his early childhood years all the way through college, where he suffered a career ending injury in 2008. Although the injury caused him to hang up the cleats (his first love) DboiRBR turned the injury into a blessing in disguise. He spent countless hours in the studio mastering his craft and learning the business side of the music industry, while continuously growing his library of recorded music. He has been fortunate enough to travel to states such as Oregon, Arizona, Nevada, California, etc. to exercise his craft in front of a variety of crowds.
Since 2006, DboiRBR has written & recorded, a variety of projects such as his mixtape series “The Joog” 1 & 2, “Leaving A Legacy” Vol. 1, 2, & 3, and his most recent mixtape series “King Of The Yeeessss” Vol. 1. DboiRBR has also dropped 2 all original projects titled “Success Addict” & “No Days Off”. With a promising music career ahead of him, DboiRBR hopes to continue the momentum in which he has created through an independent grind. He hopes to touch the lives of many youth around the world and let them know that you can beat any odds and “Live The Dream” with the right understanding and mindset.
